It was Developed by Flux Games. After that in North America, it was published by GameMill Entertainment, and in Europe published by Maximum Games. The game was released for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, & Xbox One on 27th October 2020, and later on 5th January 2021, released for Microsoft Windows. A version for The Nintendo Switch was released on 24th November 2020 in Europe. William Zabka, Ralph Macchio, Jacob Bertrand, & Gianni Decenzo repeat their roles as Johnny Lawrence, Daniel LaRusso, Eli "Hawk" Moskowitz, & Demetri respectively. It was while the rest of the additional characters are expressed by different actors.

This game features a completely original soundtrack from the TV series composers, Zach Robinson and Leo Birenberg. Later, an album of the official soundtrack was released online on the exact day when the game was released.
